Terms of Service

Last updated: July 10, 2026. Please review these terms with your own advisor; they are a plain-language starting point, not legal advice from HOAScribe.

1. What HOAScribe is

HOAScribe is a software tool that helps homeowners' association boards draft documents such as violation letters, meeting minutes, and notices. HOAScribe is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Every document is a draft for your board's review. You are responsible for reviewing, finalizing, and deciding whether and how to use any document, and for consulting a licensed attorney where appropriate.

2. No warranty of legal validity

While HOAScribe builds state-specific requirements into its documents and works to keep them current, we do not warrant that any document satisfies every legal requirement applicable to your association or situation. Laws and your governing documents vary and change. Use of HOAScribe does not create an attorney–client relationship.

3. Accounts & your board

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for members you invite to your association's workspace. Keep your login credentials secure.

4. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor. Your first documents are provided free. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; you may cancel anytime and retain access through the end of the paid period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use HOAScribe for unlawful, harassing, or discriminatory purposes, or in violation of others' rights. You are solely responsible for the content you enter and the documents you send.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HOAScribe is provided "as is," and HOAScribe and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any outcome arising from documents you create, edit, or send.

7. Changes

We may update these terms and will post the revised version here with a new date. Continued use means you accept the changes.
